Our Products and Services
Clearwater Native Plant Nursery contract grows native plants for ecological restoration and landscaping. We are not open to the public. If you have a restoration or landscaping project and would like to contract with our nursery to grow native plants, please give us a call at (541) 350-5261. We require that projects be a minimum of $1,000 for wholesale plant materials.
Native plants for landscaping and restoration projects
Clearwater grows a wide variety of high-quality native forbs (wildflowers), shrubs and grasses for landscaping and restoration projects. Please see our online catalog and availability list for plant species and container sizes that we offer, or feel free to contact us directly as inventory is always changing.
Landscaping plants
Landscaping plants at our nursery are grown primarily in 4-inch, 1-gallon and 2-gallon containers. Custom orders may be secured via contract. Plants for landscaping are mature with well-developed root systems. Many of our plants are drought tolerant and well-adapted to the high desert climate of central Oregon. Once established, native plants require less water and maintenance than ornamental plants used in landscaping.

Restoration
Grass, forb, riparian and wetland plugs are generally custom grown for restoration (or landscaping) projects; however, plugs may be available for immediate project needs. See our contract growing information to get started with your restoration project.
Plug sizes that we offer are:
- Grasses – 6 and 10 cubic inch
- Forbs – 7 cubic inch
- Riparian shrubs and trees – 20 and 40 cubic inch
- Wetland sedges and rushes – 6, 10 and 20 cubic inch
Custom contract growing services
Clearwater Native Plant Nursery can custom grow various sizes, quantities and varieties of plants to meet your landscaping or restoration needs. We can hand collect seeds, cuttings or propagules and grow plants as specified or propagate plants from seed that clients provide.

Consulting on restoration projects
Clearwater Native Plant Nursery can visit proposed project sites and develop localized species lists, taking into account a particular habitat or variation in microclimate to help ensure the success of outplantings. Clearwater can recommend particular plant species or sizing of containerized plant material most suitable for individual project sites.
Planning projects
Advanced planning is essential to successful project implementation. Our nursery works closely with prospective clients to properly time availability of plant material, as each species has different growth requirements. Projects that require site-collected seed should be initiated at least one year in advance.
Terms
A 25-50% deposit is required to initiate a custom grow contract, with the balance due upon delivery. The amount of deposit varies on the size and complexity of each contract. Please contact us to discuss the details of your project.
